The story

The Church of Immaculate Conception stands in Kanhai, Sector 45, Gurgaon, in Haryana. It is the only Roman Catholic church in the city, and also its only Latin Church, and comes under the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Delhi.

The mission is much older than the present building. A Capuchin friar founded it in 1930, while the church itself went up only in 2001, thanks to the efforts of Fr Lourdusamy. This gap of seven decades gives a modern place of worship a longer history in the area.
