01 — The story
The story
Manda Zoo lies amid green surroundings in Jammu and keeps a range of animal species in enclosures designed to resemble their natural habitats. A visit usually starts at the aviary, where peacocks, swans and exotic parrots are housed.
Further on are enclosures for lions and tigers, monkeys and deer. The reptile house is a highlight, holding snakes, turtles and other reptiles from different parts of the world, each with its own markings and habits.
