Kud Park

Kud Park stands in Kud, a small town a few kilometres short of Patnitop in Jammu. At roughly 1,850 m above sea level, it stays cool when the plains below are hot.

Tall pine and deodar trees enclose the park, and under them a tended garden grows flowers and ornamental plants. Mist sometimes drifts in among the trees. The quiet setting and dense cover attract many birds, so the park is also used for birdwatching, and it makes a resting point for people heading up to Patnitop.
