The story

Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara Swamy Temple stands at Kaleshwaram in Bhoopalpally district, Telangana. It is unusual for its two lingas on a single pedestal, one representing Shiva and the other Yama, together worshipped under the name Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara Swamy. Kaleshwaram counts among the three Shiva temples of Trilinga Desham, the 'land of three lingas', and people regard it as a second Kashi, coming here for rites after funerals.

Visitors arrive especially in the month of Karthika (mid-November to mid-December), and holy baths take place from 6 to 17 December. Bathers first visit Ganesha, then pray to Yama and finally to Shiva. The temple is open 6.30 am–1.30 pm and 4–6 pm, and the Laksha Bilwapatri Pooja must be requested from the temple officials at least a month ahead. Pulihora and laddu are the prasadams.
