The story

Jait Sagar is a lake of about 1.5 km on the edge of Bundi, surrounded by green hills and old palaces. It is attributed to Jaita Meena and dated to the 14th century.

Lotuses cover parts of the water, and walks along the shore are popular, as are boat rides. Sukh Mahal, a palace on the bank, gives one of the best views across it. The lake is a quiet spot away from the town's busier streets.
