The story

Gurudwara Shri Jaamani Sahib is a small, quiet gurdwara in Bazidpur village, about 7 to 8.5 km from Ferozepur city along the road towards Ludhiana. It is linked with the travels of Guru Gobind Singh, who is believed to have stopped here after the Battle of Muktsar.

The shrine takes its name from a local story about a guarantee given in the Guru's name. A loan backed by that surety between a farmer and a Brahmin was never repaid, and tradition says the two were born again and that the debt was finally settled in the Guru's presence at this place, so the shrine is seen as a symbol of justice and of honouring obligations. It is not large, but it matters to local devotees and is an easy stop on a visit to Ferozepur and the Hussainiwala memorial.
