The story

Bhubaneswari Temple stands at Rajnagar in Tripura, 55 km from Agartala, beside Maharaja Govinda Manikya's palace. It is believed to have been built between 1660 and 1675, and it features in the work of Rabindranath Tagore.

The temple follows the char-chala style of Bengal temple architecture. Its single chamber rises from a flat, raised platform and is entered through one arched doorway, and it is covered by a curved roof topped with a finial.
