Vintage and Classic Car Museum, Udaipur

The Vintage and Classic Car Museum in Udaipur displays the motor cars of the Maharanas of Mewar. The collection owes its existence to Maharana Bhagwat Singh, who set out to keep the vehicles from the royal garages together, and it gives a view of the court's way of life in the 20th century.

The restored cars range from Rolls-Royces to large Cadillacs. They once carried the royal family in processions, on state occasions and on private trips, and several took part in notable events in the history of Udaipur and Rajasthan. Visitors can look closely at their bodywork, chrome and fitted interiors, each car with its own record of ownership and use.
