The story

Thakurdwara Bhagwan Narainji, popularly called Pandori Dham, is a historic Ramanandi Vaishnav temple at Pandori Mahantan village in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, and one of the fifty-two Vaishnav dvaras into which the Bairagis are organised. It takes its name from its founders, the local saint Shri Bhagwanji and Shri Narainji, his disciple. Tradition says Narainji survived poison given by Emperor Jahangir to test his powers. Rajput rulers of hill states such as Nurpur, Jammu, Chamba and Guler were devoted to the shrine, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh gave it patronage.

Its Baisakhi fair runs for three days from 1st to 3rd Vaisakha. It opens with a morning procession carrying the Mahant in a palanquin, followed by Navgraha Puja and gifts of money, grain and cows. In the evening comes Sankirtan, with the Mahant's discourse and a distribution of patashas. Pilgrims also bathe in the shrine's sacred tank.
