01 — The story

This botanical garden in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, carries the name of the industrialist K. K. Birla and covers 19 kanals. It is owned and run by Sutlej Industries, part of the KK Birla Group.

The ground was once the site of an ancient pond, which was later turned into a garden. A pond is still among its features today, along with a range of plant species and some animal life.
