The story

Saraswathi Kshetramu is a temple to the goddess Saraswathi at Ananthasagar in Chinna Kodur mandal, Siddipet district, set on the Shivaru hills between Siddipet and Karimnagar, 22 km from Siddipet. It was founded on 2 May 1980 by Astakala Narasimha Rama Sharma, an Astavadhani and teacher who refused to depend on donations and paid for it with his earnings as an astrologer, Vaastu expert and finder of groundwater.

Saraswathi temples are rare in India, and this one is counted as the third, after the Vaishnavi temple in Jammu and Kashmir and the temple at Basar. It is described as the first to show the goddess standing. Basant Panchami in the month of Magha brings special worship, and during Navaratri books and musical instruments are laid before the goddess to be blessed, with Vidyarambham, the start of learning, on Vijaya Dashami.
