Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, also called the Shri Rangapur Temple, stands in Shri Rangapur village near Pebbair in Wanaparthy district, Telangana, about 25 km from Wanaparthy. Raja Baheri Gopal Rao of the Wanaparthy Samsthanam, who admired the Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam, built it as a copy of that shrine on Garudachala and installed the deity in about 1763, earning it the name Uttara Srirangapuram, the Srirangapuram of the North.
The temple is built in Vijayanagara style. A tank called Ranga Samudram was dug next to it, and the front halls, or mukha mandapas, were added later by Sankaramba, wife of the Wanaparthy ruler Rama Krishna Rao. Its festivals include the Brahmotsavalu and a 15-day jatara.
