The story

The Swayambhu Sri Abhista Gnana Ganapathi Temple is a shrine to Ganapathi in Mayuri Greenland, in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The Jampala family built it, and it is managed by the Jampala Abhinay Charitable Trust, whose founders, J. Lakshmi Kanthi and J. Madhusudhan Rao, are also the temple's trustees.

The idol was installed in a ceremony held over three days, from 22 to 24 August 2013. Each year the temple marks its Varshika Brahmotsavam on 18 October, and every month a Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam is performed on the eve of Sankashta Hara Chathurthi. Devotees come in the belief that prayers offered here are often answered.
