The story

Sapt Rishi Ashram is a spiritual retreat beside the River Ganga in Haridwar, set among greenery. It takes its name from the Sapt Rishis, the seven great sages revered for their wisdom and their part in shaping Hindu scripture.

The ashram offers daily practices and teaching by gurus for those seeking a quiet spiritual stay, and incense and marigold garlands scent its grounds. Visitors can bathe in the Ganga in the morning, which devotees believe cleanses sins, or join the evening Ganga aarti, when lamps are floated on the river.
