Rachenahalli Lake is a 104-acre lake in Thanisandra, North Bangalore, about 1.4 km from Amruthahalli police station. Until around the turn of the century it supported farming and livestock in the surrounding villages.
The lake is one link in a chain of water bodies: Jakkur and Sampigehalli lakes lie upstream, and Nagavara and Kalkere lakes downstream. Building work around it has interrupted the natural flow of water, and the lake now tends to overflow during heavy rain.
