Gulakamale, in Bangalore South taluk, has two inscriptions and two further hero stones, as well as a lake on the city's outskirts that is popular for birding. The Mythic Society's team recording Bengaluru inscriptions in 3D discovered the two inscriptions on 7 July 2020, and both use old forms of the place name, Gulakamari and Gulakama.
One is a 14th-century record in Tamil, written in Grantha and Tamil scripts on local granite. It notes a gift of food offerings to a Vishnu temple by Singappan and Nattavar of Ponmani, and a Sudarshana Chakra is engraved below the text. The other is a Kannada hero stone from the same century, though its text is ambiguous. It seems to say that one Kempanna died in a fight at Gulakamari and that his brother Kariyappa installed the memorial, and the lady shown on the stone is probably his wife.
