The Hulimavu Cave Temple, also called the Hulimavu Shiva Cave Temple, lies in Hulimavu on Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru, close to BGS National Public School. It is run by the Sri Sri Bala Gangadaraswami Mutt. The temple sits within a natural cave in a single rock that has been declared to be 2,000 years old, while the shrine itself is said to be four to five hundred years old.
A Shiva linga occupies the centre, with an image of the Devi on one side and Ganesha on the other, and an old meditation hall is found in another part of the cave. The saint Sri Ramanand Swamiji is said to have done penance here for many years, and his samadhi, with his photograph, is inside. Visitors are encouraged to go round each of the shrines.
