The story

All Saints Church in Trimulgherry, Secunderabad, was built in 1860 for the British cantonment and was the first permanent building in the Trimulgherry Entrenchment. It began as a garrison church served by army chaplains and passed to the Church of South India in 1947. Today it serves Secunderabad's Tamil-speaking congregation, with services in English and Tamil.

The Gothic building has many turrets and a belfry tower. Behind the altar a stained-glass window of 1884 shows Christ carrying the cross, in memory of Lieutenant Edward Dawson of the Royal Artillery, and sixteen memorial tablets on the walls remember British officers who served and died in the cantonment. Old pews, lamps and a baptismal font are among its treasures, and its upkeep earned an INTACH heritage award. Queen Elizabeth II visited in 1983, on the same trip that took her to the nearby Holy Trinity Church at Bolarum.
