The story

Snehatheeram Beach, whose name means love shore, lies on the Arabian Sea at Thalikulam in Thrissur district. The Kerala Department of Tourism looks after it and named it the state's best beach destination in 2010, and it draws domestic visitors in every season.

Beyond the sand, the beach has a children's park with play equipment, an aquarium displaying a large range of marine life, a landscaped garden and tiled walkways. At the time of writing the park charged 10 rupees for adults and 5 for children. The Naalukettu restaurant serves the seafood of the Thrissur coast.
