Sisodia Rani Garden and Palace lies about 6 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur–Agra highway. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built it in 1728 as a gift for his second queen, a princess of the Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar, and the garden takes its name from her.
The gardens climb in tiers, with fountains, water channels and painted pavilions on several levels. A two-storeyed palace crowns the top terrace, its galleries and pavilions decorated with murals of scenes from the life of Krishna. The whole is noted for its Rajput architecture.
