Sinthan Top is a mountain pass reached by a road that climbs through forest, meadows and small villages, passing waterfalls along the way with the Pir Panjal range in view. From the top, the panorama takes in valleys and distant summits in every direction. The area is growing in popularity for trekking, camping and paragliding, and in winter the pass is buried in snow and used for snow sports and snow drives.
In spring and summer the meadows around the pass bloom with wildflowers and varied alpine plants, which makes it a spot for nature walks and photography. Villages on the approach offer local food and crafts. Daksum, the Achabal gardens, the Verinag spring, the Martand Sun Temple and Kishtwar National Park are all in the wider region.
