Shyam Kaka Temple is a Krishna temple dating from 1845 in Shaka Jagir village, Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh, near Narsinghgarh and about 100 km from Bhopal. Legend says Bhagali Devi, wife of the local ruler Shyam Dev Khinchi, had taken shelter with the chieftain Amara Singh Gurjar. When her husband died in battle she ordered the temple in his memory and made Amara Singh head priest, and Gurjars have claimed the role ever since.
Its remarkable feature is a panel of six Muslim men at namaz, in long robes and traditional headgear. Tradition holds that six Arab visitors argued with the priest over the holiness of Mecca and Medina, and that a divine vision of both cities appeared within the complex, where they prayed. The Archaeological Survey of India lists the temple as protected. It was heavily damaged and looted in the British period and rebuilt in August 1987, though some parts are still missing.
