Sati Mata Memorial Chatriya, Pokhran

Sati Mata Memorial Chatriya is a group of cenotaphs on the outskirts of Pokhran in Rajasthan. It was raised in memory of the maharanis of the local royal family after their deaths.

The memorial is built of red sandstone and is made up of several chhatris. The word means umbrella in Hindi and refers to the domed canopies that crown each of the structures. They stand outside the city rather than within it.
