Bhopal's Regional Museum of Natural History displays preserved animal specimens and skeletons, among them crocodiles, king cobras and the skin of a rare white tigress. Life-size models show animals such as the red panda, kangaroo and dolphins, and the fossil exhibits include a dinosaur egg and whale vertebrae.
The museum places weight on environmental education, with interactive galleries, activity rooms and resource centres covering geology, zoology and botany. Outdoor displays feature a hard-ground barasingha and a baby elephant, and a Discovery Room offers hands-on learning about the natural world.
