Nehru Park is an urban park in the Pan Bazaar area of Guwahati, named after former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The Government of Assam acquired the land from Christ Church, Guwahati, in 1995, and Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi inaugurated the park on 12 June 2004. In its first form it had a lawn, children's playground, jogging track, amphitheatre, rock garden and forty-five concrete sculptures of Assamese dance forms such as Bihu, Ojapali and Jhumair.
A revamp sanctioned in 2020 at ₹11.684 crore was undertaken by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the remodelled park on 10 May 2023, though it stayed closed to the public for some time after. It now has a sculpture of former Chief Minister Gopinath Bordoloi, an Ashoka Stambha ringed by an artificial pond and a new entrance from Mahatma Gandhi Road, along with a horticulture garden, walking zone, water fountain, playground, cafeteria and a showroom for indigenous cultural artefacts.
