The story

Laid out along the river in Silvassa, Nakshatra Garden takes its name from the Sanskrit word for star. Its planting follows the Indian astrological system: the garden represents the 27 nakshatras, and each plant is linked to a particular planet, or graha.

Winding paths lead past medicinal herbs and Ayurvedic plants, each marked with a nameplate explaining its healing uses. Deeper in, large spice trees give shade where families spread out for picnics, and the sound of the nearby river carries through the grounds.
