The story

This Silvassa temple is dedicated to Lord Balaji, a form of Vishnu. Its design mixes traditional and modern styles, with a tall gopuram rising above finely carved pillars. The best-known feature is a five-headed idol of Hanuman, one of only a few such images in India.

The temple is also a gathering point for the community, drawing crowds for Navratri, Diwali and Janmashtami. On Saturday and Sunday evenings the temple authorities serve free meals to visitors. Vanganga Lake and Garden, the Tribal Museum, Dudhni Lake and the Bindrabin handicraft shops are all nearby.
