01 — The story
The story
The Daman Ganga Riverfront runs for three kilometres through the centre of Silvassa. It was developed to encourage tourism, the arts and culture, and serves as a venue for public events, including weekend Fun and Fitness programmes with yoga, dance shows and art exhibitions.
Paved paths follow the river and are used for morning walks and evening runs. The Daman Ganga Tourist Complex on the riverfront runs boat rides on the river. Swimming is not permitted.
