The story

Little Flower Church is a Syro-Malabar Catholic church in Kaprassery village, close to Cochin International Airport, and belongs to the Ernakulam Angamaly Archdiocese. It is dedicated to St Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower, and serves about 230 families.

Kaprassery's Catholics once relied on the church at Akaparambu. A catechism teacher began coming to the village, a chapel was built for Sunday school, and a small community grew around it. After Fr. James Chaveli arrived, a new church was built at the centre of the village in 1976. The parish feast, for St Thérèse and St Sebastian, is held on the first weekend of February after a novena, and the youth movement stages an Onam cultural show, Onanilavu, in the parish hall.
