The story

Liphanyan Governor's Camp is a riverside spot on the Doyang River in Wokha district, about 45 km from Dimapur. It got its name as a favourite retreat where the governors of Nagaland came to rest away from official duties, and it is still relatively little visited.

The camp is set among timber forests and slopes overlooking the river, and is used for picnics, camping, fishing and rafting. Many bird species are found nearby, and the surrounding area is home to the Lotha Naga community.
