The story

Khimsar Fort stands near the village of Khinvsar in Nagaur district, Rajasthan, roughly midway between Jodhpur and Nagaur, on the eastern fringe of the Thar Desert. It was built in 1523 by Rao Karamsji, who was the eighth son of Rao Jodha of Jodhpur.

The fort also has a Mughal connection: the emperor Aurangzeb used it as a place to stay during his visits to Nagaur.
