01 — The story

The story

Heritage Park is a 12-acre landscaped park in Agartala that presents the heritage of Tripura, both tribal and non-tribal, alongside lawns, trees and planted beds. It is an easy introduction to the state's best-known monuments for visitors who have limited time.

The main draw lies in a three-acre section near the entrance, where miniature replicas of major Tripura landmarks are laid out. They include the rock carvings of Unakoti, with their faces of gods, goddesses and mythical beings; Neermahal, the lake palace on Rudrasagar; and Ujjayanta Palace, the former royal residence that is now a museum.
