The Hare Krishna Golden Temple stands on Hare Krishna Hill in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Opened in 2018 by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, it was the first golden temple in Telangana. It enshrines Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, a self-manifested deity that devotees regard as one of the oldest in Hyderabad, and a rare Shaligram stone from the Gandaki River near Muktinath in Nepal is kept in the sanctum.
The temple has a 50 ft golden flagstaff, a 4,600 sq ft maha mandapam and a golden rajagopuram. Beyond the flagstaff, the Harinam Japa Mantapa has 108 steps, on each of which devotees chant the Hare Krishna mantra, though visitors may go straight to darshan instead. There are four shrines: Lakshmi Narasimha, Radha-Govinda, Shiva as Panchajanyeshwara and Hanuman as Japa Anjaneya. The temple is open 7.15 am–12.15 pm and 5.15–8.15 pm.
