Central Park Jaipur

Central Park, opened in 2006, is the largest park in Jaipur, covering 129 acres of lawns and trees in the middle of the city. It was laid out for recreation and exercise, and its 5 km jogging track, the longest in Jaipur, is busy with walkers, runners and yoga groups early in the morning.

The national flag flies on a 206-foot mast, and the flag itself measures 72 by 28 feet; it is lit up at night. Next to it, thirteen stone statues are arranged in the pattern of the Capricornus constellation. In the evenings a large musical fountain plays, and at weekends families come to picnic on the lawns. Drinking water and toilets are provided.
