Arimbra Hills, called Mini Ooty for their resemblance to Ooty, rise to 445 m between Malappuram and Kondotty in Kerala's Malappuram district. They rank third among the five independent hills Kerala has outside the Western Ghats, after Cheriyam and Amminikkadan. Visitors come for the rolling slopes and wide views, though stone crushers and plantations also occupy the top.
The hills are about 4 km from Aravankara near Pookkottoor on the Malappuram–Calicut stretch of NH966, and minor roads climb from Mongam, Morayur, Kondotty and other villages. Spots such as Thiruvonamala, Muchikundu, Poolappees, Kakkad, Kunnumpuram and Cheruppadi Mala are good for walking and have viewpoints from which aircraft can be watched on the runway of Calicut International Airport. A children's park, an aquarium and a pets park have been added. Under British rule Arimbra was a revenue village of its own, later merged with Morayur.
