Anachadikuthu Falls, also called Anayadikuthu, is in Idukki district, 20 kilometres from Thodupuzha, on the boundary of Karimannur and Vannapuram panchayats. It lies a kilometre from Thommankuthu falls, on the way to the Thommankuthu ecotourism point. The water comes down the stream that runs through Kambakakanam and Neikuthanal, and the falls are at their fullest in the monsoon.
Old residents say that elephant herds once came out of the deep forest in summer to drink on the flat rock above the falls, and the name is said to recall a fight between two elephants in which one toppled over the edge and died. Counted among the safest waterfalls in Idukki, it is popular with families. A concrete bridge lets people walk across the top of the falls, monkeys and many kinds of birds live nearby, and Kattadikkadavu is close at hand.
