Yeshwantgad, also spelt Yashwantgad, is a fort on the Rajapur creek off the Ratnagiri coast, with the sea on one side. A ditch once protected it on three sides, though it can no longer be seen, and on the fourth side ran a wall with 17 bastions, now in ruins. The gate was on the east.
The loss of HMS Outram here on New Year's Day 1817 led to the building of a lighthouse at nearby Jaitapur. No other notable events are recorded at the fort.
