The story

Vinnarasi Madha Church, officially dedicated to Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, serves the village of Gopasandiram as a Roman Catholic quasi-parish, directly run by the Dharmapuri Diocese. Christians have lived in the village for a long time, with prayers and masses once run by the Madagondapalli church priest.

A chapel was built on land bought in 1937. It was later removed to make way for the present church, which Dharmapuri Bishop Lawrence Pius consecrated on 13 January 2014. The church became a quasi-parish on 22 August 2020, with Fr. Rajappa as its first mission priest.
