The story

Tirathgarh Falls lies inside Kanger Valley National Park, around 35 km southwest of Jagdalpur in Bastar district. Here the river spills over a stepped hillside of natural rock and falls roughly 91 metres, about 300 feet, in a broad block-shaped cascade.

The usual approach is from Darbha, near the state highway between Jagdalpur and Sukma, where jeeps can be hired for the run to the falls and to the Kutumsar caves. Kutumsar and Kailash Gufa, two caves close by, make natural companions for the falls on a day out.
