Thottipal Bhagavati Temple

Thottipal Bhagavati Temple in Thrissur district is counted among the 108 Devi temples said to have been installed by Parashurama, and the hymn 108 Durgalayastotram refers to it as Thodipally. The goddess is believed to be the sister of Urathammathiruvadi and of Chathakudam Sastha.

The temple takes part in two of the region's great festivals, the Arattupuzha Pooram and the Peruvanam Pooram. It was destroyed during Tipu Sultan's attacks and rebuilt in the late 19th century.
