St. Theresa Church is a Catholic parish church in the Sembiam area of Perambur, Chennai, under the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore. It is dedicated to St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, the French Carmelite of Lisieux, and draws pilgrims from across the city for its devotion to the Infant Jesus. Residents of Madumanagar first built a church in her name in 1967, under the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine parish; it became a parish of its own in 1994 under the Salesians, who bought land in Sembiam for a new church, and the archdiocese took charge in 2003.
The grounds have a grotto of Our Lady, completed in 2003, and a Blessing Tower at the entrance built in 2008. The Infant Jesus devotion, begun in 2006 around a statue brought from Prague, takes place on Thursday evenings with an oil-pouring ritual. St. Theresa's feast falls on the first Sunday of October, after nine evenings of novena.
