The story

St. Mary's Church is Noida's first Catholic parish, dedicated to the Assumption of Our Lady and part of the Agra Diocese, with roughly 850 families. Catholics who came to the new industrial city for work first went to churches in Delhi, then held Saturday Mass in each other's homes. A flat in Sector 27 became a Mass centre, Maria Sadan, in 1988.

The church stands in Sector 34, less than 1 km from Noida Sector 34 metro station. The foundation stone was laid on 15 August 1991, and the building was consecrated two years later. The parish feast on 15 August coincides with Independence Day, and midnight services mark Christmas and Easter. The parish youth group runs yearly painting competitions and Good Friday blood donation camps.
