The story

Waste to Wonder Park, also called the Seven Wonders Park, is a 7-acre theme park near Sarai Kale Khan. The South Delhi Municipal Corporation commissioned it under its Waste-to-Art Project, which aimed both to deal with waste and to improve public spaces. Built in six months, it opened in 2019.

The park holds replicas of seven famous monuments made from discarded material. The Taj Mahal is fashioned in recycled metal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in scrap iron and the Pyramids of Giza from old automobile parts. Christ the Redeemer is assembled from bicycle chains and gears, the Eiffel Tower from nuts, bolts and rods, and the Colosseum and Statue of Liberty from salvaged metal.
