Soordelu is a hill station in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, 250 to 300 metres above sea level and 22 km north of the district headquarters. Two ways lead up: from Soordelu Junction, which is the easier, and from Swarga, which is difficult. Sri Subraya Temple at Katukukke is the closest temple.

Temperatures stay around 25°C to 35°C. Local roads connect to National Highway 66, the nearest railway station is Manjeshwar, 25 km away, and Mangalore has the airport. This is a multilingual corner of Kerala, where people speak Malayalam, Kannada, Tulu, Beary and Konkani.
