The story
Satsang Ashram in Deoghar was founded by Thakur Anukulchandra and is the centre of the Satsang movement he started. It is a large, quiet campus of gardens and walkways that attracts followers and spiritual visitors from across the region.
Within the grounds are the main temple, the house where Anukul Thakur lived, a museum and several prayer halls. Visitors take part in hymn singing, meditation and religious discussion, and lodging is available on site. The ashram also runs charitable work in healthcare and education for the local community.
