Parasgad Fort is a ruined hill fort about two kilometres south of Saundatti in Belagavi district, Karnataka, said to date from the 10th century and to have been built by the Ratta rulers. It stands at the south-western end of a range of hills looking straight down over the black-soil plain. The hilltop, roughly 500 m by 300 m, is uneven and partly covered in prickly pear and brushwood, with steep rocky sides and a deep gorge cutting through it.
Inside the empty fort are the remains of old houses and a small ruined shrine to Maruthi. Several hundred steps lead down to Yadravi village, passing Ramatheertha, a natural spring with a tank thirty metres long, and a cave with images of Jamadagni, Parashurama, Rama and Sita and a Shivalinga with Nandi. An inscription near Yadravi's Bharamappa temple, dated Shaka 901, names the village Elarame.
