The story

Noori Chamb is a plunge waterfall on the upper reaches of the Poonch River, in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is close to Bahramgala, a village in the hills below the Pir Panjal Pass (Peer Ki Gali), about 10 km from Bufliaz, and the Mughal Road runs right beside it.

'Chamb' is the local word for a waterfall, and the name recalls Nur Jahan, wife of the emperor Jahangir. Local legend holds that she used to bathe in the falls while travelling to Kashmir. Today the falls are one of the places tourists visit in Poonch district.
