Mulavana Mahadevar Temple, also known as Sree Mahadevar Temple, is where most people of Mulavana village in Kollam district, and of the villages around it, come to worship. It is managed by the Mulavana Mahadevar Devaswom, though the Kadalayi Mana family once held hereditary rights over its affairs and property. The temple is open to all who wish to enter and pray.
Alongside Mahadevar, or Shiva, the temple enshrines Sastha, Ganapathi, Yakshiyamma and Nagaraja. Its main festival is Maha Shivaratri in the month of Kumbham, in February or March, an important day for Mulavana and nearby villages that is celebrated regardless of caste or religion.
