Mukti Bhoomi, the Land of Liberation, is a Buddhist stupa, memorial and museum in Yeola, Nashik district, dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar. At a conference here on 13 October 1935 Ambedkar withdrew from the Kalaram Temple Satyagraha and declared that, although born a Hindu, he would not die one. That announcement, said to have been heard by some 10,000 people, prepared the way for his conversion to Buddhism in 1956 alongside millions of followers.
Ambedkarite activists and the state government built the memorial, laying its foundation on 13 October 2009 and opening it on 2 April 2014. Inside are documents and original photographs tracing Ambedkar's life, statues of the Buddha and Ambedkar, and a mural of the conversion declaration. A Buddhist bhikkhu vipassana centre opened on the site in March 2024. The state has classed it as a Category B pilgrimage site, and it draws Ambedkarites, Buddhists and other visitors all year, with regular cultural and educational events.
