Mahabat Maqbara is the tomb of Nawab Mahabat Khan II of Junagadh. He began work on it in 1878, and it was finished in 1892 under Nawab Bahadur Khan III. Next to it on the north side stands a second mausoleum, the Bahauddin or Wazir's Maqbara, raised between 1891 and 1896 by his minister Sheikh Bahauddin Hussain Bhar.
Both buildings combine Indo-Islamic forms with Gothic and European details. They have onion-shaped domes, French windows, marble columns and screens, floral carving and a pale yellowish-brown exterior, and one of them has four minarets circled by external spiral staircases. The entrance has a large silver door. The Jama Masjid, built in a matching style, is a short walk away.
